WELCOME TO VISTA ARTS

  • September 2007

Robin and Rose warmly welcome you to our third year with VISTA ARTS. As well as our popular lecture series: ‘Creative Conflicts’ in Beverley and York and day visits there will be 5 residential visits detailed in the brochure, plus our expanded practical programmes that will now include master workshops on Thursdays and some Sundays at North Dalton with artists expert in their field to extend the range of skills on offer.

  • VISTA ARTS is designed to inspire and encourage you to expand your creative horizons in a relaxing retreat. Also you will be able to benefit from a range of experiences from practical art courses to illustrated lectures, visits and study tours, both at home and abroad.
We also have links with St James Heritage Centre for the Wolds, Warter for family art workshops and other events, contact us for details of these.

  • Following the success of our painting holiday at our house in Dordogne we would like to welcome you again for June 2008.

We are participating in the East Riding Open Studios this October 6/7th and 13/14th, do come along with your easels, sketches and picnics for free sessions (not taught) and meet other Vista Arts students and us to discuss your artistic needs.

We look forward to being with you on our 2007/08 programme and thank you all for your continued support.

  • Although the courses do not lead to academic qualifications we aim to maintain a high level of integrity and achievement whilst providing enjoyable experiences within a friendly atmosphere. Whether you are a beginner or have experience in any of the range of courses on offer we are keen to encourage your personal development and fulfilment.

  • There will also be the opportunity for occasional visiting artists and lecturers to provide ‘master classes’ to deepen your knowledge and broaden your outlook.

  • ‘We want to create an environment that welcomes you, opens up opportunities, develops your artistic skills, builds up your confidence, helps you make new friends and provides a chance for the more experienced artist to find time and space to relax. An appreciation of culture and heritage, and visits to sites with keen and knowledgeable tutors and guides, are key elements.’ - Rose and Robin Horspool
