We have 30 years’ teaching and managing experience based in England and France.
For the last 12 years we have specialised in adult learners at our local FE/ HE College where a strong reputation with an enthusiastic following has been established.
Rose says:
‘I trained first in art and design in Brighton and at the University of Sussex, and then specialised for my MA in Art Education at Leeds in Garden Design and Garden History, and have taught art, design, art history, garden design and garden history as well as freelanced as an illustrator and a garden designer.
I also lecture for the National Trust mainly on garden history and take guided walks around Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal near Ripon again for the National Trust.
My many interests include heritage interpretation, working on community projects with adults and schools, working with East Riding Artists, cookery, gardening, yoga, cycling, reading and visiting France and Italy where I can really relax.’
Robin says:
‘I trained in art and ceramics at Hull and Scarborough, and after gaining my NDD and Certificate in Education, spent my career teaching and lecturing on a variety of subjects to a wide age range. My lifelong passion, however, has always been for the creative arts; I view my teaching as an extension of that passion.
I am a practising artist with a love of art history and heritage issues as well as being a keen musician and writer. Three of my books on local history have been published and I have recently completed a historical novel.
We are what we teach and we teach what we are.’
